Thank you for applying for the MY HERO Internship Program. Please note this is an UNPAID Internship, but you will be given the opportunity to develop new skills and expand your portfolio of work. MY HERO is a not for profit educational project with a mission is to use media, art and technology to celebrate the best of humanity. Millions of visitors from around the world access our website online to discover and share stories of hope and inspiration about diverse heroes from all walks of life.
There were many qualified applicants for this internship. As part of the selection process we are asking applicants to register for a MY HERO Intern account. Once registered we would like you to build a sample MY HERO web page creating an original essay, art, short film or audio to honor a hero using our digital online story telling tools. Stories submitted to MY HERO will be reviewed by our editorial team.
We are very interested in stories that represent young and old heroes alike working for positive change in the world. We are interested in stories that honor those working for racial and social justice, artists, scientists, human rights and environmental activists. We want to know who inspires you and why? From there we can explore if this is internship is a good fit for you and MY HERO.
