John F. Kennedy

by Gavin from Cortez

"A man may die, nations may rise and fall, but an idea lives on." JFK

A problem pressing our world in the 1960s was too much racism between blacks and whites. It was problem because everybody was born equally and not differently and JFK tried to stop it. "The best to progress is the freedom road". This means the best road through life is freedom.

JFK is from Brooklyn, Massachusetts on May 19, 1917. In JFK's early life his dream was to play football because he played football through peewee, middle school, high school, and college. But when WW2 started he joined the navy for 4 years from 1941 to 1945. In 1942 he became lieutenant.

After a couple years JFK wanted to become president and fight against racism. JFK contributed by fighting against racism and saying."It's not fair for blacks to be treated this way, they were to be free and equal like everyone else in the world." But lots of people did not like JFK and what he said. So on November 22, 1963 in Dallas,TX, somebody named Lee Harvey Oswald assassinated JFK during a drive-by so people could take pictures.

The assassination shocked the United States. Two hours later Lee Harvey was brought to jail, but a man came up to Lee Harvey and said "You shot the president you are going to pay!" So the man shot Lee Harvey.

I think the solution to the problem is to stop the racism and treat others the way you want to be treated. "A man may die, nations may rise and fall, but an idea lives on."
