Dr. Seuss

I think a hero is someone that is a figure that has posed a positive effect in your life. I think they can help you through something or they already helped you. They can also be someone famous that has posed an influence in your life.

Dr. Seuss is my hero. He has had a very important effect on my childhood. He has been the one writing the books that I read when I was younger. He has written forty-four books that have influenced or inspired millions of young children. I am one of the many young people that have loved his books over the many years.

Dr. Seuss was born in 1904. He grew up hearing rhymes from his mother. He has used his home city to write some of his books. He has received six awards with the forty-four books he has written. He used two hundred of four hundred words given to him to write “The Cat In The Hat.” Dr. Seuss passed away in 1994.

Dr. Seuss is my hero because he has made a major impact in my life, teaching me how to read and enjoy doing it. I don’t know how I would have made it past childhood if Dr. Seuss didn’t write the books that he wrote.
