My hero's everyday job is to help the sick and injured people of the community whether they have taken a fall, had an accident on local roads, or having babies and they cater to all needs. The number you should call if you’re in an emergency needing an ambulance to help you is 000.

To do a job like my hero you have to go to university for a length of two or three years, depending what you would want to achieve. The three year course is for a bachelor degree, and two years for a diploma. They are both for full time jobs as an ambulance officer.

Ambulance officers come in all shapes, sizes and sexes. You don’t have to be a certain height or weight just have to be committed to your job, but still have to be fit because there is a lot of movement and training. You have to be able to keep up with and accomplish, to get a certificate for an ambulance officer.

There is also a TV show called ‘Triple Zero Heroes’ that stars some of the really brave and selfless ambulance officers that have saved lives.

An Ambulance officer’s salary for a week is regularly around $1.000 and a year is said to be around $54.000.

One Day I wish I could become such a hero as mine. They save lives everyday and always do a good job of it too.

Most of the time they don't even get recognised for their good work and dedication to their jobs and saving lives.
