Olexandr Pashutin was born in Elysavetgrad, now Kirovograd. He was burgomaster of Elysavetgrad. In addition he was a good businessman. His whole life he was dedicated to the community.

He headed the city council during 27 years. All his salary he gave to the needs of the city. During his 25-year anniversary as burgomaster, it was decided to rename Nevsku Street to Pashutinsku in honor of his achievements.

Olexandr Pashutin wrote a book about Elysavetgrad. It was established in 1897.

He bequeathed us that Community service should be the goal of life. That's why he is my hero.
