Abraham Lincoln

Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809. He was born in Hodgenville, KY. He lived in a one-room log cabin. His family got kicked out of their house after a land title dispute.

Abraham Lincoln was the sixteen president of America. He was smart. He was able to teach himself new things. He has a nickname, Honest Abe, because he was always honest and never lied. Abraham Lincoln used to be a store clerk. There was a customer and Abraham didn't give him the right change, he shortchanged the customer. He closed the store just so he could walk and give the customer the right amount of change

He was a hero because he guided his country in the most devastating experience the country had. The war was North against South. The only reason they went to war is because the South wanted slaves and the North didn't want slaves. Abraham Lincoln found a way to end war by making a law so slaves can be free. When the law was made the war stopped. Abraham Lincoln was assassinated by John Wilkes Booth on Good Friday on April 14, 1865. John Wilkes Booth only killed Abraham Lincoln because he was a supporter of the South.
