My hero is Amelia Earhart. She was born on July 24th 1897. She was born and raised in Atchison, Kansas. Amelia started flying at 24 years of age and started in Los Angeles. But her family was having troubles so she had to sell her planes and go back east. After four years she bought an Avro Avian plane and went solo. The she was known as the first woman to do a solo flight.

Amelia Earhart was known to break her own records and other people's also. She broke hers and other people's personal stunts. Amelia's interests are flying and reaching her goals. But she was a role model for all the women in the world so she stands up for all the children, old people, and women of any age. She was famous for all girls looking up to her and because of her mysterious disappearance. All girls of any age respected the thought that she is a woman that is willing to do anything. Amelia was determined to be not first but the second person to fly across the Atlantic Ocean in 1932. She was willing to go even if the weather was bad.

Amelia wanted to prove that all women and men could be equal pilots. Amelia was fortunate get away from her family's trouble and buy and new plane so Amelia was very lucky to come back after her family needed the money. Not only was flying across the Atlantic her ideal she also wanted to fly across the world as a woman pilot. Amelia people say was a legend for all women and girls and even little boys and men around the world. Why? Because she had a dream to fly around the world and to be the first woman to do it. Amelia was a truthful person who never gave up her dream and that's important.

Amelia Earhart is brave. Why she is brave is because she was the first women to fly across the Atlantic Ocean. Alone. She was also the first person to fly over the Pacific Ocean on January 1935. Also she was brave because she wanted to prove to the world that men and women are equal.

""After midnight the moon set and I was alone with the stars. I have often said that the lure of flying is the lure of beauty, and I need no other flight to convince me that the reason flyers fly, whether they know it or not, is the esthetic appeal of flying." -Amelia Earhart.

This line inspires me and should to lots of people as well. Amelia sad death was tragic. she disappeared in her journey around the world. She was not found as she went around the ocean. People say she disappeared into the ocean and sank but i don't. I think she had landing problems. As you heard nobody knows so it's a guess. Amelia Earhart is my hero. Amelia never gave up and that's important so that is why she is my hero. I wish to never give up and keep my dreams close!
