My name is Tormusa Koroma, a youth member of the International Education and Resource Network and also a member of Government Secondary School iEARN Club.
My hero is Rashid Peters. Rashid is also a youth member of the International Education and Resource Network Sierra Leone.
He was born 18 years ago in a small town in Kenema in eastern Sierra Leone. I admire him for his dedication in music He has composed several songs including "Child Soldiers Have Suffered So Much" to promote the rights of children used in armed conflict. He has traveled far and wide to Capetown, South Africa to present his piece and campaign against the use of children in armed conflict. At iEarn conference... As a student at Njala University College I admire him so much his courage in helping other youth and connecting them to the internet and music. |
