My name is Emil Kobe. I am a student of iEARN Sierra Leone. Andrew Greene is my hero because I can now... talk about the extent of war that impacted my life and my family and my community. I can choose to share my thoughts on the peace and consolation website and talk about forgiveness, love, peace and harmony in our world.
I was 16 years of age when I joined the Child Soldier Project, www.childsoldiers.org. Andrew is my hero because when I lost my father and my mother was nowhere to go. He brought me from the jungle of war. He taught me computer and the internet which have opened my eyes to the world of friendship and education. My life has been improved by my education in computer programs at IEARN Sierra Leone. Like the once shattered and bombed houses of war now under construction, it has been the rehabilitation of my mind, body and soul. Andrew Greene is my hero. He has taught me a lot of things. Now I can use the Internet to share my story around the world. Now I can make friends. I can use the Internet to write friends in Canada, the Netherlands, Italy, Japan, USA and Australia. Even now, I assist in training other new students recruited into iEARN Sierra Leone. The magic of the Internet has made our world a real global village, |
