MY HERO joins hands with educators and students around the world to promote global storytelling through connective technologies about heroes who have made a difference in their communities.

Bridging time, distance and the digital divide, MY HERO is committed to media literacy, cross-cultural communication, and to giving students the tools for self-expression to share their own inspiring hero stories.

MY HERO has created a Teacher's Room just for you with lesson plans, daily and thematic calendars, and downloadable and printable support materials to use in the classroom.   In the Teacher's Room you will discover, for example, how to introduce the Create Program to your students, so they can create their own Web page about their heroes with text, images and links.

Need ideas for future lesson plans?   Students not sure who to write about?   Have them look through the calendar of heroes' birthdays for inspiration.   Use the calendars to find out about upcoming national and international events celebrating heroism.

If you are doing something unique with MY HERO in your classroom, let us know so we can send someone to film you and your students for our Teacher Training DVD.

MY HERO has designed a program to help teachers create directories of their students' approved hero stories and organize content for lesson plans on a variety of topics.   By linking classroom index pages to their school's Web site, students and parents can easily view the students' work.   E-Create is easy to use.   Simply register and follow the easy step-by-step instructions.

Check out the possibilities and applications of this tool for your own classroom by viewing Lynn DiMatteo's and Susanne Noble's e-Create pages.
