My hero is Lance Armstrong. I chose Lance because he has overcome cancer, which is very hard to do and very few people can do it. Lance was also a world championship bike rider and won many races. Lance is my hero because he inspires me to keep on trying to accomplish my goals. He has also taught me that when I am in a competition, involving sports, I think of Lance to make me do my best. He encourages me to do good things like to help other people, friends, family, and all other people I know. Lance is probably going to keep encouraging me until I am old. As I grow up the courage he has shown me is probably enough to help other people.

I didn't just choose Lance because he was a world championship bike rider, I mainly chose Lance because he survived cancer. Lance struggled through cancer had a severe cancer and the doctor said Lance had at least one more year to live but the chance of Lance living was 50-50. As Lance struggled through cancer he remarkable survived it but when he had cancer he was still biking.

Lance created a Lance Armstrong Foundation in Austin, Texas, helping people with cancer and supporting them. The foundation is really important because it not only takes care of people with cancer but inspires people with other sicknesses. Lance also came up with the idea of the live strong band.
