FAMILY HERO:
RICHARD LOU ELLERT

 My hero is Richard Lou Ellert, but he likes to be called "Sweet Lou." In this essay I will tell you about Sweet Lou and why he is my hero.In 1973, when he was in college, he was only .6 seconds slower than Johnathan Baly, and he holds the provincial hurdle record in Saskatchewan. Also, in 1974, Sweet Lou was the 3rd person to be asked to play in the CFL for the Edmonton Eskimos.

Now, in 2000, Sweet Lou works at St. Michael's School in Yorkton, Saskatchewan and educates hundreds of minds. And that's a few things that Sweet Lou has done. I hope you have enjoyed my hero. But the real reason Sweet Lou is my hero is because he cares, loves people, and he's my Dad. |
