Do you know what it takes to be a hero? A hero is an extraordinary person and is honest. Heroes are selfless and give up their own time to help people they don’t even know. He or she never gives up and they are amazingly fearless! They are hard working and are role models. One hero from Switzerland is Andreas Kuettel, a famous sports figure.
Andreas was born in April 25, 1979 in Einsideln, Switzerland. When he was young, he wasn’t allowed at the ski area that he lived next to. His parents felt that he was too young. At age seven, he started getting interested in ski jumping. By age twelve, he was competing in international events and in the 2002 Salt Lake Games he made his Olympic Debut. He finished 6th on the large hill, came in 7th on the team event and 22nd on the normal hill.
Andreas took lessons from his father to be a teacher. He completed his degree in 2004 and was certified to teach sports to children. Today, he still teaches many young children how to ski jump. Mr.Kuettel is an inspiration to young children. Andreas is even an inspiration to all of us.
Andreas is devoted to Switzerland. That is not all he is. He helps little children do well at sports and teaches them. Andreas is a great skier coming in sixth, seventh and twenty-second. One thing Andreas likes to do is listen to music like American hip-hop. Andreas will be remembered in our lives forever.
In conclusion, a hero is an open-minded person that is fearless. Andreas Kuettel is persistent and loyal. Andreas is a perfect example of a hero. He is a hero that I will always remember and you should, too.
