Martin Luther King Jr.

by Julian from La Crescenta

"I have a dream, that one day little white boys and girls will hold hands with little black boys and girls."

Martin Luther King Jr. inspires me to help people who need more than just money. Martin Luther King Jr. is my hero because he he stood up to white people in the 1950's and 1960's. He made it so that white people and black people could go to the same schools. If he hadn't done that, then some people wouldn't realize it, but they would be losing their best friends.

When Martin was first born, he was born Michael Luther King, Jr. Then later, it was changed to Martin. His grandpa started the chain of Kings being pastors at Ebenezer Baptist Church. Martin worked as a co-pastor from 1960 until his death in Tennesse. When Martin was a boy he went to segregated public schools in the state of Georgia. Then in 1948, at the age of fiffteen, he graduated Morehouse College and got his B.A. degree. After he graduated from Boston University and received his degree, he met Coretta Scott, and soon enough they got married.

For a more detailed paragraph about my first sentence in my first paragraph read this. I want to help people by giving people maybe an apartment, clothes, an idea for a job, and some money to pay off rent and food. I hope that you get ideas from me and Martin Luther King Jr.

Hi. My name is Julian. Heroes are important in everyday life and not just in movies. They help us by putting out fires and catching criminals. From solving mysteries to finding your lost dogs. So if you have a hero, write about it.
