BUSINESS HERO:
HENRY FORD

by Dylan from Longmont, Colorado

Henry Ford and Model T

Henry Ford was born on July 30, 1863, and he died in 1947. He is a hero because he was driven, he changed the car industry, and he was an inventor.

Henry Ford was driven because he kept on trying to get his assembly line going, even though he failed on his first two attempts. He also ran for United States Senate in 1918, but was unsuccessful.

He changed the car industry by creating the Model T car. This gave Americans the chance to own an affordable, reliable means of transportation. Ford inspired his generation, even though his elders still thought it was a silly invention that would fade away in a few years. By 1918. half of the cars on the road were Model Ts.

Ford was a very good inventor. He built his own cars and raced them. He also built an assembly line in his Detroit, Michigan, factory. The production of the Model T made Ford's company the largest car manufacturer in the world.

After he died in 1947, his cars lived on. They still do to this day. Ford was a driven person. He was a person that changed the car industries of America.
