My hero is my mom. My definition of a hero is someone who is strong, and also someone who helps others and is there for them when they need someone. She has been raising my sister and me by herself for about seven years. My sister is now eighteen and getting ready to graduate from high school. My mom is helping her go to college next year. My mom has been very supportive to both of us.

My mom works all day then comes home and takes care of us and the house. I got a job in hopes of helping her out around the house. She usually takes me to work, and picks me up. She also takes me places I want to go and places I have to go.

We've had some really tough times along the way. My dad left my mom when we still lived in Oklahoma. We had to sell the house and move to Missouri. I came with my mom. My sister stayed with my dad.

When we got to Missouri, my mom and I stayed with my grandmother for about a month. Then, my mom found a house for us. My sister came back that summer. My mom enrolled my sister at Webb City High School. She had to pay for new furniture and lots of other things for around the house. She took a lot of time out to spend with my sister and me.

My mom works at Target now. She'll do anything and almost everything for me. She doesn't usually have much time for herself. I wish there was more I could do for her. I know my mom's life is very stressful, but somehow she's always pulled through.

I worry about my mom a lot. We've been through a lot together. She's never given up on me, though. My mom is a very strong person. I never can stay mad at my mom very long. We get along a lot better now. I've gotten closer to my mom this last year than I ever have before.

I know I've taken advantage of my mom. I've always thought she'd be here forever. The truth is, she won't. I'll never forget the things she's done for me when she's gone. She is always willing to listen to what I have to say. The feeling of knowing you have someone who cares is the best feeling in the world.

In conclusion, you should know more about my hero. Maybe this will inspire you to figure out who your hero is.
