Troy Polamalu

I chose Troy Polamalu as my hero. The first reason is because we are both Christians. We also both like sports. The third reason is that he plays for my favorite team which is the STEELERS. I like him because he's fast, and so am I. Another good reason I like him is because he has a cool last name, and neat hair. Finally, I chose him because he is a good man and does good deeds.

Troy Polamalu was born on April 19, 1981 in Garden Grove, California. Troy grew up in Fountain Valley which is near Anaheim. In 1989, Troy visited his uncle in Ten Mile, Oregon. Troy's mom asked him to move there because his neighborhood was full of crime. When Troy was in high school he not only played football but he also played baseball and basketball. Troy went to College at University of Southern California.

Troy went to the Steelers as a first round draft pick. He has been in 5 pro bowls. Troy also has been to the super bowl twice and WON both times. He was also chosen to be on the NFL-ALL Decade Team. Troy has accomplished so much in life already. He is a great athlete and I hope to be just like him someday.
