My hero is Tatyana Navka, an outstanding Russian figure skater. I also think she is a wonderful person.

She was born in Dnepropetrovsk, Russia in 1975. Her parents were athletes. So she decided to be an athlete when she was a child. Her parents bought her skates when she was five and she became a figure skater. She was very talented and wanted to achieve much, so at the age of 14 she went to Moscow to get better training. Her life was difficult in Moscow. She had to get up early and train every day. Her couch was Natalya Dubova.

Her career in figure skating began in 1998. Her partner became Roman Kostomarov. Tatiana Navka and Roman Kostomarov were able to win all possible medals in figure skating. For four years they were the absolute leaders in the world of ice dancing: they won the title of the champions of Europe three times and went up to the highest pedestal of the world championship twice. Tatiana Navka and Roman Kostomarov were one of the most technical and spectacular pairs; their style of skating features incredibly emotional and powerful energy. Olympic Games 2006 in Turin was a great challenge for them as there were a lot of really skillful rivals there, but Tanya and Roma met the expectations of their fans, winning the top awards.

After leaving amateur sports, Navka took part in some TV projects. Tatyana and her partner, the brilliant actor Marat Basharov were the winners of the project "The Stars on the Ice".

Her husband Alexander Julin is an athlete too. She saw him for the first time when she was young and fell in love with him. Their daughter’s name is Sasha. Tatyana is a very clever and beautiful woman. She is a great sportsman and a good mother and wife. I want to be as successful as Tatyana Navka!
