Soldier

My hero is a soldier because soldiers everywhere are fighting for our freedom. They have saved thousands of lives. Whether saving our country or stopping drugs from coming in. They are always there. They have even helped save other countries like Colombia in their drug war.

The military will only go into another country if the other government wants us there. If they do they will fight to the end. Or at least until they get pulled out. They have fought many wars. From the Revolutionary War to the Iraq war.

They have put many bad guys behind bars or if needed, to another world. But hopefully to court. If found guilty the government will decide what to do with them. They do not fire their weapons unless absolutely necessary.

The U.S. military is always ready to go, even at the shortest notice. An aircraft carrier is always at sea stopping terrorists. We have learned from Pearl Harbor to be always ready for anything. We are always ready.

Whether here or in distant lands, the soldiers will always fight for our freedom. Whether the army, navy, air force, marines, or special operations, they will always be there. I will always remember the sacrifices they have made for us. That is why they are my heroes.
