My hero is Ryan Smyth because he inspired me to play hockey. He plays on my favorite NHL team: the Colorado Avalanche. Ryan is a 32-year old man born in Banff, Alberta on February 21, 1976.
My hero has done lots of things. He accomplished 37 points (14 goals and 23 assists) in the 2007- 2008 NHL season. His old teams are the Edmonton Oilers and the New York Islanders. The team he is on now is the Colorado Avalanche. Right now Ryan is at his house in Colorado.
Ryan is important to me because he donates to charity more than a lot of NHL hockey players and he is my favorite hockey player. He will be a hero to lots of young NHL hockey fans.
