Shelby T

by Danica from Morinville

My hero is my best friend Shelby. We have been friends since we were little girls. My hero is really important to me even though we do not live in the same city any more. Shelby lives in Fort McMurray and I now live in Morinville.

We liked the exact same things like food and games. When I lived in Fort McMurray at recess time at Dr. Clark school we played with each other. If one of us got hurt we helped each other because we cared about each other.

My hero and I were like cousins because we had a lot of sleepovers and we saw each other like every day. We love each other like you and your mom and dad do. We would do our homework together. Every year we would be in the exact same class. Our teachers said that we are really good students so we get to supervise the parks too. We got to wear supervising vests and had to make sure the students were not fighting.

My hero’s hero is her mom because her mom brings her shopping and lots of other things. We think about each other a lot. I taught her some Dutch words. Our favorite colors are yellow, green and pink. We both love animals and singing. We also like to dance. We both wear glasses and have the same length of hair.

My hero was born in Newfoundland. She is really smart, funny, lots of fun and makes a perfect best friend. We stand up for each other and talk to each other a lot. Sometimes my mom drives me up to Fort McMurray so that we can play together. My friends in Fort McMurray think we look alike, others think we are twin sisters. We aren’t but it sure feels like it. That is why she is my hero!!!!
