Rick Nash

Rick Nash was born on June 16, 1984 in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. Rick's mother's name is Liz Nash and his father's name is Jamie Nash. Rick has an older brother, his name is James Nash. When Rick was in elementary school, his uncle, his father, and his brother would drive to a frozen pond that was near his home and play hockey. They used the cars as goal posts.

Here are a couple of fun facts about Rick's early life. When Rick was in peewee hockey, he shot about 35 assists and about 50 goals. Rick started playing professional hockey for the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2002. His first game was against the Colorado Avalanche. Rick scored his first NHL hat trick against the Detroit Redwings. He is the youngest player to lead the NHL in goals.

Rick did not have a career before becoming famous; he basically played hockey his whole life.

It all started when Rick was three years old. His dad's buddy had a hockey deal for him. Then when he was about 17 years old, he started playing hockey against people who were about 5 years older than him.

Some major accomplishments are being an NHL star and becoming the youngest player to ever lead the NHL in goals. Rick leads the franchise in overtime goals.

Things going on in the world during his famous years include the earthquake in Japan and the wars in the Middle East.

Here are some fun facts about Rick's famous years. He loves Brittney Spears. He plays for Canada and the Columbus Blue Jackets. He plays left wing and is #61 for the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Rick's lifestyle is very busy. He is always doing something. He travels a lot for games. Almost all of his family lives in Canada so he goes to visit them a lot.

This is what makes Rick a hero. Around Christmastime of 2000, Rick's grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer. So he decided to work with the Breast Cancer Canadian Foundation. He has helped a lot because every time he scores a goal for Canada, he donates $100.
