| (This is the cover of my favorite book) |
A hero is a man whom people would like to look like. My hero is Robinson Crusoe ( by Daniel Defoe). Everybody knows his adventures on the island. I like adventure books. This story had happened to a Scottish sailor before Defoe wrote his novel. That sailor lived on an island for 4 years and 4 months but Defoe decided to leave his fictional hero on an island for 26 years. After a shipwreck, Robinson survived. He found himself on an island. Nobody was there. He knew nothing of the coast. He hoped in time to see some ships at sea. He was on a horrible, desolate island, separate from all the world.

No clothes, no food, nobody to speak to, Crusoe was without any defense. In spite of all his problems, he was alive and didn't drown.
I think that God saved him. Maybe he was a kind, ordinary man who did nothing wrong in his past life. Sometimes God wants to show people there is always a way to solve all their problems and it's necessary to believe in a happy ending.
Robinson could withstand the test. In my opinion, this event would change his future life.
I always remember Robinson when I am in trouble or have some difficulties. I try not to lose my head. I try to concentrate and put my thoughts in order. This book is always on my desk in my room. I like to look it through from time to time.
Maybe when I am an adult, I'll have another hero but I don't know. Whoever is my hero, he will be honest, strong, brave and have true character.
