Rosa Parks

Rosa Parks
Rosa Parks

Rosa Parks is my hero because she stood up for what was right. She was born February 4, 1913. She died on October 24, 2005. Rosa Parks grew up in Montgomery, Alabama and experienced unfair treatment of “colored people.” Rosa Parks couldn’t go to the same schools as whites or the same restaurants. Rosa Parks was a member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). Rosa Parks was brave to try to change things.

Rosa Parks was brave because even though she knew that she was going to get arrested she still didn’t give up her seat.

Rosa Parks stood up for what was right because she new that it wasn’t right and it wasn’t fair that she had to give up her seat.

Rosa Parks experienced unfair treatment and when she saw that, she knew it wasn’t right.

Since Rosa Parks stood up for what was right we are all very happy now. We all get fair treatment no matter what race we are.
