As my class of enthusiastic students began working on the "My Hero Project" this year we had certain categories that emerged. Several children saw their pets as heros. We participated in some interesting discussions on what qualities make a true hero. Many students chose their hard working mothers and recognized the sacrifices they make for their families on a daily basis. Each student views a hero in a unique and personal way. Congratulations grade fours! You have chosen a wonderful collection of heros.
