Michelle

My hero is not only my hero but she is also my best friend. I met Michelle in grade one at Keith Wightman Public School. She was new to the school as she had just moved to Peterborough from British Columbia. She was born in Prince George, Britsh Columbia, and I was born in Kelowna, British Columbia. We immediately became friends and have been friends ever since, and we've never gotten into any fights.

Michelle is in grade nine, here at PCVS. She is a very nice, considerate and caring person. She always looks out for her friends. We both applied for the Arts Program and with her support we both got in. I couldn't have done it without her, she was always by my side. She never let me give up. Without Michelle in my life, I would not have as great of a life I have. She is the one person I can always turn to no matter what, the one person that will always listen. I can tell her about whatever problem I have, and she'll never judge me, she'll never tell anyone, and she'll always give me good advice or help me to think of something to solve the problem. No matter what, through everything, she has always been there for me. She can always help me out at rough times and she always knows just what to say to make me feel better. Even when no one else was there for me, she was. When I felt like I couldn’t tell anyone else, I could tell her. Throughout my childhood, she was always with me. She is the one friend that I have always had and that I know I'll always be friends with. All the things I couldn't do on my own, we did together. We did everything together, and we've had so many fun times. Michelle has made my life ten times better. Without her I don't know what I would do. She will always be my best friend and we will never be apart. She is the only true friend I've ever had. A lot of friends are just your friend for a while and they were never really there for you. I know for a fact, that she has been a true friend. She never lies to me, and we don't keep secrets from each other. We are the best friends, that were meant to be best friends. That spend all their time together and never get sick of each other. I could never find a better friend than you, no one would be as good of a friend as you have been.

It's hard to explain, but Michelle is like a sister to me. She's impossible to live without. If I had never met her, I'd be so lonely and I'd never find anyone that I could talk to as easily as her. No one is as understanding as she is. To me, a hero isn't someone who saves you from a burning building, or someone who's on your favourite tv show. To me, a hero is just someone that will simply listen to you and care about how you feel. Someone who you can talk to, hangout with, and who makes your life better and makes you a better person. A hero is someone who helps you live your life the way you want to. There is no one that fits this description more than my best friend.

No matter what, we'll be best friends forever.

Michelle is the most caring and concerned person for our environment I know. She is a vegetarian just because she feels so terrible about the way the animals are being treated. She is such a good person that knows exactly about everything going on in the world that is destroying it and she'll do everything she can to prevent it.


"I don't feel comfortable eating animals. they treat them really horribly, they like put them in little cages, cut off the chickens beaks and put the pigs in cages on top of each other. They kill them in horribly painful ways. Also so much of our fresh water goes into making the meat, and we should be conserving our water.The grain they use to feed their massive amounts of animals, could feed starving people and also the methane from the animals pollutes the earth." - Michelle Barclay.

Michelle is a hero to me because she is so inspiring. She knows exactly who she is and who she wants to be and what her goals are. She sets goals for herself and she follows through with them. She knows me better than I know myself and she has made me a better person. She's helped me to discover who I am and she always believes in me and encourages me to accomplish my goals. She is such an amazing person, that I would love to be just like her. I look up to her so much, and I admire her. I learn so much from her, and she's taught me so much about myself, If only I could be half as great as her. She's not just an amazing person, but she is also an incredible, loyal, honest, trustworthy friend. The thing I admire most in a friend is honesty, and she is the most honest person I know. I wish I could be more like her, she has an amazing personality and she doesn't care what others think of her. I can't even thank her enough for everything she has done for me. Michelle and I have so much in common, we know each other so well, and if I ever lost her I would never ever be able to replace her, and I'd be so miserable.
