Mel Blount

My hero is my dad. He has been such an inspiration to me. He has helped troubled kids when they get in trouble. His organization is called the Mel Blount Youth Home. He has always been there when I needed him. I like it when he tells his football stories.

My dad started the Mel Blount Youth Home In 1989. People told him he wouldn't make it but he had faith in the home and came through. His youth home was a big success. That's how he helped people.

My dad has always been there when I need him. He has taught me more than half the things I know. He is very encouraging. He plays chess with me. He usually beats me but if I'm feeling froggy then I'll beat him bad.

I like it when he tells his football stories. We also watch some of his lifetime tapes.

My dad is my hero. He helped me a lot. Whenever I need him he is always there. He plays basketball and football with me. He always fouls. That is why he is my hero.
