My hero is Mitch Albom, an America author of the international bestsellers such as 5 People You Meet in Heaven and For One More Day. Besides, he is a nationally syndicated columnist and radio host. He serves on numerous charitable boards and has founded two charities in metropolitan Detroit. For me, he is a positive and charitable person.

Morrie Schwartz, the hero of the book

My first book by Mitch Albom is Tuesdays with Morrie. I was enormously moved by the book. He says, before he wrote this book, he was a harried, ambitious sportswriter who never spent five minutes thinking about mortality, how to spend his life, or his legacy with others. But now he changes because of his professor, Morrie. And in this book, he shares what he learns from him. The book teaches me how to love others and how to lead my life. The book gives me a large power when I have a difficult time. “I give myself a good cry if I need it. But then I concentrate on all good things still in my life.” This is my favorite sentence in the book. I think that I am a weak person. It is easy for me to think of something bad when I have trouble. So I think his book gives me some bravery and encouragement.

The reason that he is my hero is not because of his success in his writing career but because of what he does to the world. I think that he is really a charitable person. Though he has been successful so far, instead of enjoying his wealth, fame, achievement etc, he shares them to everyone all over the world. He shares what he gets or learns in his life with people by his books, speeches, or money. If I were him, I could not share my possessions so charitably. On top of that, I admire him very much because he can change my bad thoughts into good ones, and even as well as his readers around the world. It’s not an easy thing. Besides, he says that he also learns something from each of his books. I think that he is the person who enjoys sharing. This is the most important reason that he attracts me. I hope that one day I can also do something good to the people on the earth, just like him. This is my HERO, Mitch Albom.
