Kevin Cooper

Family is always there to support me, one person in particular in my family treats me like a son but I’m not. This person is my hero. This person is my Uncle Kevin Cooper. He shows both courage and bravery in many different ways, he also shows humour.

Kevin Cooper was born on Manitoulin Island. Kevin Cooper was raised by his mother and father on a farm near a lake called Lake Martin. The young boy grew in bravery and courage as he took on many challenges. Soon he was introduced to plumbing and became very interested in it. Hey, then married my aunt Kim. The couple settled down in Sugarbush, Ontario, and had two kids named Annie and Willow. Willow was born 2005 and Annie was born 2003. Kevin then decided that he would build a cabin on Manitoulin Island with the land he bought from his dad.

Kevin Cooper is a hero to me because he treats me like a son. He teaches me all sorts of survival techniques up at his cabin. He takes me up every time he can get some time off work. He is always doing fun activities with me such as hiking, baseball, and showing me how to become a plumber.

Kevin shows courage and bravery by taking me on ATV rides in the middle of the night through bear infested woods. He always takes risks; he always gases his boat to max when the water is really low and rocks are just under the surface of the water. He also goes for midnight walks through a forest with no trail for about 5 km and back.

Kevin also helps other people by doing plumbing for my family. He also helps by helping my family and other people do their roofs for free. He also climbs up dead trees to attach a rope to the top so he can pull it down the way he wants it to go. I think Kevin Cooper is a perfect example for a hero. He has shown all characters of a hero such as helping others, courage, and bravery. He treats people like there his brother/sister.

My uncle Kevin has provided me with opportunities to do more things than just stay at home. He has taken me to a wonderful place that is cut off from the outside world. When I am there I feel happy and open to new things. My uncle Kevin has taught me how to survive in the wilderness & most importantly he is someone I can always count on.
