Curtis Joseph is my hero because I was named after him. He plays on my favorite NHL team, the Calgary Flames.
Curtis Joseph’s real name was Curtis Shayne Munro but he changed it to Curtis Shayne Joseph. He was born to two unmarried teenagers. They put him up for adoption and a nurse adopted him. He has a brother named Grant.
He made a difference in my life by getting a shutout in 1998 in an NHL game. That is how my parents named me after him.
