Have you been inspired by someone? Well I have, by Jennie Finch. She inspired me to work hard and practice. She taught me to believe in myself and that I can be whatever I want to be. She is a role model to me and girls everywhere. To me she is amazing.

Jennie started playing softball when she was 5 and started pitching at age 8. Her dad would practice with her whenever he could and when he couldn’t, she pitched against a mini trampoline in the yard. They constructed a batting cage in the yard for Jennie to pitch in. Her favorite color is green and is retired now with her kids and husband. Her dad is a big part of her life and she says that she loves him very much.

I hope to follow Jennie’s footsteps and end up playing softball my senior year in high school and then go on to my own road. She is a very inspiring person to me and people all around the world too. I have been pitching since I was 8 and have played softball since I was 4. She has changed me as a person by making me a better softball player by having good sportsmanship and being a better person and pitcher and taught me to not give up on anything like pitching and that is why she is my hero.
