Jim Henson was born in September 24 1934 at Greenville Mississippi. He had a University degree from University of Maryland, College Park. He got married to Jane Nobel and had five kids, three boys and two girls and they all worked in the same business.
Jim Henson started working in his early 20's as a teacher and then created puppets for TV shows that includes his signature character, "Kermit the Frog," that works in a new way of technique. His hero was Kukla, Fran and Ollie a women that works with puppets. He was a puppeteer, film director and television producer.
Jim Henson was a good help for others by making puppets that teaches them. He helped the world by making TV shows with puppets for kids to learn how to love, care, help and be responsible in a very simple way that is by watching a TV show that shows a problem and shows how to solve it. He made shows like Sesame Street, The Muppets and made many movies, like the Muppet Movie. He was the voice of Kermit the Frog and other Muppets.

Jim Henson died of pneumonia at age of 53 on May 16, 1990. At his funeral someone was holding Kermit the Frog. There was a sign around Kermit's neck that said "I lost my voice". The Jim Henson Company, Jim Henson Foundation and Jim Henson's Creature Shop have continued on after his death by his son Brian and his two daughters Lisa and Cheryl. He is tributed both as himself and as Kermit the Frog on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The University of Maryland, College Park honored him with a life-size statue. A TV special was produced "The Muppets Celebrate Jim Henson" in which the muppets paid tribute to him. A museum was built in memory of him in Leland.

When I was VERY young I was REALLY inspired with learning. It was fun because of Sesame Street. It made me think learning is fun and it is fun. Since his work made me like learning and like kids, I now want to teach little kids to have to have fun with learning, to get friends and to have responsibility.
