My Hero

James Eugene Carrey is my hero because when I was a baby my mom made my smile when she did a laugh like Jim Carrey!

Jim Carrey was born in Newmarket, Ontario, (Canada) in 1/17/1962. He was a comedian before he started to do acting. Jim had been working on a comedy act with Percy his father when he was 14 years old. Percy knew of a comedy club called Yuk Yuk’s which at that time was in the basement of a church. When Jim was booted off stage - he was completely humiliated. He returned 2 years later at the age of 16. Then winning the audience over with his impressions, he soon became a regular at Yuk Yuk’s. Jim did many singing impressions like Elvis and Kermit the frog. Jim was booked at other places like college campuses, police associations and banquet halls.

He is my hero because he makes me laugh when I watch one of his movies. I always wanted to meet James and get his autograph.

I love his movies and his characters. He is funny when he wants to be. I always make up a funny song and I always sound like him when I sing it. I like to make people laugh just like Jim Carrey.
