FAMILY HERO:
IRWIN

 My father Irwin is my hero because he is responsible and he always followed his dreams no matter what happened. My father is around 5’ 9”, he is a little bit bald, he is very funny, and he is almost always cheerful. My father always dreamed about reopening the old, shut-down family business. When he was older he borrowed some money and reopened the business. This is an example of how he followed his dreams.  At first there were a lot of people telling him to give up and stop wasting his time, but he always believed that he could do anything if he put his mind to it, and that’s exactly what he did. There were employees who caused trouble and he had to work very long days to get the business back on its feet. There were times when it seemed pointless to continue and people were putting him down all the time.
When he first reopened it with the help of his father, the oven was in the back of his house on St. Laurent Street. When the bakery became more popular they moved into the building that is now on Fairmount Street. They have been open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week for twenty-five years now.  The moral of this story is that no matter what anyone tells you always follow your dreams.  This has been an educational experience for me and made me realize just how much work it took to do something like what my father did. I have learned to always follow my dreams.
