George Washington Carver

George Washington carver was born in 1864. He was from Diamond Grove, MO. His mom was a slave. George and his mother were kidnapped. George was rescued. He was raised by Moses and Susan Carver. Carver was important because he found out you can use peanuts in 300 different ways.

When George Washington Carver was a kid, he could not go to school. Back then blacks and whites could not go to school with each other. George loved to learn. He loved to plant. He worked on a farm. He finally went to Iowa State College. He is a hero because he is warm-hearted. By Anthony T.


George Washington Carver had a life time of helping others. He went to Tuskegee Institute to teach students about farming. He taught students to plant different crops. George Washington Carver is a hero to me because he worked very hard. By Trent B.


George Washington Carver was famous for growing plants and helping the soil. He was called the Plant Doctor. He found more than 300 ways to use the peanut and he found 150 ways to use sweet potatoes. George Washington Carver is a hero to me because he made a lot of new foods and products. By Lindsay W.


George Washington Carver did not get married. He lived his life at Tuskegee Institute. He died in 1943 when he was almost 80 years old. He is a hero because he is very nice. By Mariah D.
