Elena Stepanovna Semashko is the first headmistress of the school in which I am learning now. She designed the high requirement for all who worked, work and study in our school. She was born on November 29th, 1928 in Minsk.
Full of strength and energy, Elena Stepanovna started to work in 1951in the district of Cherkasy school as a teacher of the Russian language and literature by Dzerzhinsky. She was appointed as a headmistress unexpectedly. As she told us, she was crying, she was afraid that she would not be able to cope. From August 25, 1953 to November 8, 1961 Elena Stepanovna worked as the headmistress of Danilovichi school. Since 1961, Elena Stepanovna has been the headmistress of our school. Everyone in our community calls her the TEACHER of TEACHERS.
Since 1983 Elena Stepanovna has been retired. I am proud of living so close to such a wonderful person. I love learning and this woman is the ideal of an intelligent, educated woman for me. She is also so beautiful at 85 and I admire her.
