My Hero is Eva Olsson because she has the traits that I think are important in a Hero. One thing I think is important of Eva Olsson is that she forgave the people that murdered her family. She was in the Holocaust, for about a year. When people murdered her family, she can still forgive them. Also, she never hates.

Eva Olsson was born in Hungary. When she was 18 the Nazis came to take her and her family to Auschwitz. When she was in Auschwitz, her family died, and it was only her and her little sister left. On the way going to Auschwitz she and her little sister went to get on the train. Then a prisoner went up to them, and then he asked Eva for her to give her little sister to him. But she did not. But soon she had to. When they arrived to Auschwitz she had to give her little sister away to them. I think she is really brave.

Eva and her lifetime story. Eva and her family were taken to Auschwitz and that was when she was 18 years old. Eva was with her sister, her father and her brothers. Then her mom and her 3 nieces went to the right and they were killed. But Eva and her sister and her father and her brothers were not killed. Her father and her brothers went to Bergen Belsen and they died. Eva and her sister went to Düsseldorf to a brick factory. Then she and her sister went to Essen to a steel factory. They went to Bergen Belsen and shortly after they arrived the camp was liberated. Then she and her sister went to Sweden.

Eva met and then married a guy in Sweden. His name was Rude. Then they moved to Canada. Rude died in a car accident in Canada. When Rude died, Eva took care of his son. When his son grew up, he married a girl. They had 3 grandchildren. And that’s her life story.

She is my hero because she forgave and forgot the people that murdered her family. I think she is brave because she went through the Holocaust. I think she is kind because she took her time to go to schools in Canada and U.S.A. to talk to kids about the Holocaust, and that she is always there or here for people. Eva Olsson talked to kids so they can learn not to hate and TO love. And that is why she is my Hero.
