Dallin McLeod

This is my friend Dallin.

Dallin Brent McCloud was born on December 26th 1997 in Newmarket, Ontario. His mother's name is Shelia and his father's name is Sean and his doctor's name is Dr. Kopylenco. When he grows up he wants to be a video game designer or a tester for video games. His interests are playing with action figures, karate, dancing and funky monkeys!!! He goes to school in Cookstown and he went to school in Bradford for two years at W.H.Day.

Dallin had cancer when he was two years old. The kind of cancer he had was leukemia. He had a kind of treatment was chemotherapy. Dallin has 2 hero's. One of his heroes is Cujo. Cujo is a hockey player and donates his time to the hospital. He also helps out with sick kids in the hospital. Cujo lets the kids go to hockey games for FREE! Dallin's other hero is his mother because she is a special person and when he had cancer she was helpful to him and she was really brave and taught him how to be courageous. Dallin's inspiration is The Rock. The Rock is a wrestler and a movie star.

When he was seven and eight he helped our class with Sierra Leone. The people in Sierra Leone he helped were Sidibay and Andrew. We helped Sidibay because he lost his family in war. He wants to help cure cancer because he thinks he didn't deserve it. He also is trying to raise money to help cure cancer. When he is older he wants to test and make video games to also raise money for cancer.

Dallin has lots of character traits. He has empathy because he always knows when people are sad and he is always in other people's shoes. Another character trait he has is honesty because when he does something wrong he admits it was him. He also is caring because when people are sad he helps them and cheers people up! He is courageous because he had cancer when he was two and he was brave to fight cancer. He is responsible because he takes care of his things and other people's things. Dallin is respectful because he is always nice to his friends and is usually never mad.

When Dallin's treatments were almost done he went to school in Cookstown. Dallin doesn't like talking about having cancer because it was very sad and he was only two years old. He is very proud because he cured the cancer in his body and he is proud because he is still alive!!!!!

I have always thought Dallin was my hero because just think how brave and courageous he had to be. I think it brought him some scary memories. I am really proud Dallin is still alive! I am really glad that Dallin is my friend.
