This woman is a hero to anyone she comes across. She is very hardworking, smart, honest, and she is always there when you need her. I may act like her, but that's actually a good thing because she is very open-minded and outspoken, and she has the biggest heart anyone could ever have. I am proud to have her in my life and even prouder to call her my aunt. I admire her so much and so do many others, but she tells us, "Don't be like me, be better." This goes to show she is not a self-centered person and that she wants the best for everyone. This is why she is my hero...

My aunt was born December 31st, 5 minutes before her twin sister, Doreen Carter, to Rebecca and Wash. She grew up in the Bronx, NY, living with her 5 brothers: Wash, Josh, Maurice, Tracy and Freadric - also her 4 other sisters Jean, Joan, Debbie and Maretta and 2 brothers Raymond and Raynard who lived in South Carolina. Growing up, her family called her by the nicknames of Muffie and Pudding. For most of her childhood life, she and her family lived in the Bronx, NY.

My aunt went to Alexander Burger Junior High and then she, along with her brothers and sisters, attended high school at Mabel Dean Bacon. When she was younger she and her twin sister had a love for basketball just like their brothers. She is the godmother of Javon H. and Kourtney K. At the age of 20, she had her first child on Christmas Day. She named him Lynard Smith Jr. Her son means the world to her and she is very close to her family even though they don't always get along. In 2000 she graduated from Lehman College with BA degree in Speech and Language Pathology.

On June 17th, she married her husband, Lynard Smith, who she had been with since the age of 17. Her wedding was beautiful and everyone there had a good time and still talks about it to this day. She loves to write because it helps her clear her mind, and she is very good at it. She loves to dance and have fun and act crazy with her family and friends because that's just what she does. On December 15th of last year, her twin sister had her first child and named him Jordan Baptist. She treats him as if he were her own and does the same for any one of her nieces and nephews. She and her twin sister are unbreakable no matter what they go through because they make each other whole. She has been a hero all her life, and because of her intelligence and wisdom, she is a hero to me in so many ways. But no matter who's hero she is, she will always be my hero every day...
