David Agins

by Bethany from Tipp City

Most people don’t know him as a hero, but he is a hero to me, his name is David Agins. David Agins is my dad; he was born on April 14th. He is an encouraging and loving father.

My dad has a younger brother named Donald. In his childhood he played with his brother frequently and they got along very well. David was a cub scout and went camping with his family a lot. My dad went to college and joined the air force after that. He was an engineer while working in the air force. While in the air force they stationed him in many different places such as Texas, Virginia, Nevada, and Florida.

David served in the air force for 20 years and has plenty of friends from it. He has a master’s degree and is an eagle scout. My dad is married and has two children. David has contributed to being a father; he helps out the family and always lends a helping hand. He was a part of habitat for humanity and did community service. Also he was a youth group leader at church. My dad has had many challenges in his lifetime, here are a few: he had to pay for college and overcome being afraid of public speaking. David also had to deal with moving a lot because he was in the air force and having to do a different job every new place he moved.

My dad is very important to me, he is my friend and I can tell him everything. Also David is a helping hand, he supports me and loves me for who I am, and even if I make a mistake he still loves me. My father changes my life every day and I will never forget that.
