My version of a hero is someone you can’t live without, who puts other people before themselves, who will do anything for you. A person who helps other people when they need it, that you can depend on, and that has done something courageous and heroic. My hero is all of these things. My hero is my mommy, CheriLyn Korth.

CheriLyn Korth is a business woman. She is the chief executive officer (CEO) of Platinum Marketing Inc or PMI. She started her own business with some help in July 2005. When she was younger she wanted to be a interior designer.

When she started her own business it was first in her own home! Her business is Platinum Marketing Inc. PMI is a sales and marketing company. She started PMI as an online business at first then it grew bigger. When it grew bigger she made stores. Her stores are located in California, Missouri, Florida, Illinois, Arizona, and Hawaii. Her most successful store is in Pensacola, FL.

CheriLyn grew up in many places. She lived in Jacksonville for most of her life. She graduated from St. Charles High School in 1984. She did not go to college. She didn’t go to college because she started working right away. She never knew she would be the person she is today. She is very, very proud of what she has accomplished.

She has been happily married to John McBride for 2 years. She has two beautiful, smart daughters, Tayah (Me! 11) and AryAhna (16). Her daughters are her inspiration for what she has accomplished. Her daughters are also her motivation everyday.

My mom is my hero because she’s everything I want to be when I grow up; intelligent, hard working, accomplished, smart, awesome, independent, great mother, and many other things. I want to be “just like” my mom. My mom has done many great things in her life and starting her own business is one of them. I am proud to call her my Mom. I love you, Mommy!
