| my father (my camrea) |
Hi I’m Haley from Bradford, Ontario, and my hero is my Dad, Charles.
My Dad’s birthday is in February. My dad finished school in grade 13. His parents are Bill and Carol and he has two sisters, Kim and Tammy.
His music teacher Mr. Lourie Walker influenced my Dad by teaching them to work as a team and in groups. A major obstacle for my dad was going through throat cancer. He got over that obstacle by going through cancer treatments for six months and recovering for one year.
When my Dad was younger he had a goal of being able to play many instruments. Now he can play seven different instruments. My dad always helps people. He fought through cancer to raise me and my sister. And he was willing to talk to people at Sunnybrook hospital about cancer. An achievement my dad accomplished was not being dependent on the addictive drug used for cancer treatments.
My dad is kind, helpful, encouraging and driven. He talked to people at Sunnybrook about cancer. As for driven, my Dad believed cancer treatments is 50% medical and 50 % psychological.
He influenced me by telling me that more has to be done for the development of new cancer treatments and to stop using man-made products that cause cancer.Page created on 6/20/2009 12:00:00 AM
