Chief Joseph was born about 1840 in Wallowa Valley, Oregon. In 1877, Chief Joseph led the most heroic march of the century. Joseph won more than a dozen wars nonstop. He never turned back. He just won a battle and then moved forward. Once during four months, he and his troops never slept. Chief Joseph was also famous for his speeches and here is one: "Hear me, my Chief. I am tired. My heart is sick and sad from where the sun now stands. I will fight no more forever."
