My hero is a person who you might see on television, but to me he is more than just a football player. He is a person who has used his fame and fortune to better the lives of others. My hero is NFL star Reggie Bush.

Reginal Alfred Bush II was born on March 2, 1985 in San Diego, California. He plays football for the New Orleans Saints. During his first year in the NFL he was named Rookie of The Year. It is interesting that he has had so much success in football because he has been playing football for only 4 years. When he was in college he played for the University of Southern California. Whenever he messes up, he doesn’t get all mad but simply keeps on trying it until he can do it.

Reggie Bush is a hero because when the devastation of Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans, he wanted to do something to help. He donated along with the New Orleans Saints, $26.3 million dollars to help the people in need. He handed out food to the needy, and helped to rebuild houses. Reggie Bush started a campaign to get more people to donate to hurricane Katrina. He has over 323,519 people that have donated to his campaign.

You might have a different view point of Reggie Bush, but after reading why he is my hero I hope that your thoughts might change. He is not your ordinary football player because of the love and kindness that he has shown to so many people. This is why I chose Reggie Bush as my hero.
