My Hero is my Dad
Bruce
By: Matthew from Morinville, Canada
My hero is my Dad, Bruce. He is 50 years old and works in the military. He is short with black hair and he has a big bushy mustache. My dad has a sense of humor and loves to laugh and tell jokes. He watches comedy shows with me. My Dad is a Sgt in the military and has been in for 31 years. His main job is working in supply. He makes sure that all the men have all the supplies they need to do their jobs. Like tents, gear, food and clothing. My Dad also plays the big drum in the military parades where he wears a Scottish military kilt. Some other things that my Dad has done are peace keeping in Cyprus, avalanche control in the Rockies, fought forest fires in B.C., disaster relief in Manitoba flood and joined in a search party for a lost child in Sask. My Dad is special because he helps coach my baseball and basketball games. He loves these sports and football just like me. My Dad is my hero because he protects the country and my Mom, sister and me. That's my Dad.
