Do what you think is right.

My mom is an important person to me because she takes care of me and tells me from right from wrong. She is responsible in many ways and knows how to help herself.

My mom was born in Laos. The schools she went to were primary school, secondary school, college, designer school and university in Laos. She went to school in Laos and Canada. She grew up with her mother, father and her 6 sisters and 5 brothers. When she was 3 years old and her mom taught her how to sell. She would boil bananas and tie 4 of them for 1 keep(dollar). She carried a red basket with bananas to sell in her town. She felt good that she could help her mom to find some money.

In 1970 the communists come to her country (Vietnam War). Over there many things were challenges. It was caused from Political economic (money) coming at the same time. The obstacles were better day after day. My hero waited day after day for the war to stop. That's how she overcame it. She travelled from Laos to Canada.

The achievements my hero accomplished were she travelled from Laos to Canada to have a happier life and got married and had 2 kids that love her.

My hero shows responsibility and caring. She shows those 2 traits because she takes care of the family and loves everyone in the family.

My mom gives medicine to people who can't afford them. She looks over me and tells me what to do. She teaches me how to cook, sew, and teaches me how to plant things.

I chose my mom as my hero because she teaches me how to take care of myself.
