Anthony Aguiar

My dad is my hero because he loves me and he goes to work to pay for food and shelter. He cares for me. He is also always by my side.

My dad was born at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, Ontario. He went to school at King Edward Elementary School. His family includes me, my mom, my 3 sisters, my grandpa, my grandma and his brother, my Uncle Dan. An interesting fact from my dad's youth is he had really curly hair but he shaved it off.

My dad's biggest influence is Donald Trump because Donald Trump influenced my dad to save money to pay for food and shelter for my family. My dad's obstacles were opening his own business. His other obstacle was quitting school in grade 7. My dad's last obstacle was not going to work because he had a broken leg.

My dads actions are buying things we need before he buys things we want. For example he buys food and shelter before he buys us games and toys.

My dad represents the character traits of respect and caring. He has respect because when he goes out somewhere he respects the people that are there. For example when we went to a restaurant my dad respected all the people around him. My dad demonstrates caring because he cares for me and my family. For example he told us he walked 200km at his job as a postman, to pay for my food and shelter.

My dad influences me to have a good education and learn about possibilities. He also influences me to never think negatively and always think positively.

This is why I chose my dad as My Hero.
