This book taught me to appreciate my mother, whom I love with all my heart. She gives me everything in her power, and tries her hardest to get me whatever I want that is out of her reach. She does not ask for anything in return, only my happiness, which I have whenever I'm with her. Merci beaucoup, Maman.

This astonishing book is sent froma n angle to show us in a creative way how humans are distroying the earth we take and take until nothing is left but a stump give a little sometime if you take down a tree plant a new one this earth is all we have. we really dont know what we've got till' its gone so please help me `~Mother Earth

this is my favortie book of all time i read this when i was littler and still read it to this day. this book and some true points to it not everything comes from one thing or person.

the giving tree was one of my favorite books as a child. i must have read this book a thousand times. i'm sad to hear that Silverstein died.
