The Last Days of June Stephanie says: This year our cleaning lady, June Liston, retired after her contract to clean our school was given to a larger company (who I am sure will not appreciate the school as June Liston did). June Liston was our school’s cleaner for over 40 years. June devoted her life to my school and helped out whenever anyone needed it. She is a fantastic role model who was always willing to give a helping hand. Each year, June Liston has volunteered her time to our musicals, plays, art lessons, performances and anything else the school needed help with. The Liston family was one of the founding families of Hackham. The movie was made so that people would understand how the world is changing, one step at a time. |
About Stephanie Simmons![]() Stephanie says: My name is Stephanie Simmons and I am 11 years old. I enjoy making movies because it gets my point across to everyone. Equally involved in the production of this short film was Rachel-Lee Kole and Clayton Turner. We all go to Hackham East Primary School and are in year six. How I first heard of the MY HERO Film Festival was one day when I was at school my teacher asked me if I would be interested in entering the competition. I had made the movie earlier for a different competition in August this year. |
