Hipolito Rodriguez: A Quest for La Joyita Andres says: "A Quest for la Joyita" is a simple film that shows the lack of ecological conciseness in our huge world, and a manifestation in which we helped to save a forest in the center of Xalapa. Marino says: I think that our film reflects something that humanity needs so much in this new century, taking care of the environment. Our hero is making a effort to help a little bit with for this cause but there is so much to do, we thought it’s important to let everybody know about our local problem. |
About Andres Galindo and Marino Miranda![]() Andres is 15 years old, and is currently in high school. He enjoys reading, observing people’s behavior and enjoying life in simple ways. Andres says: One day I’d like to be a film maker with peace and success. Our teacher, Memo (Guillermo), showed us a few videos of The MY HERO Project, and then asked us if we wanted to join in this festival and told us that he’d support us...We all enthusiastically agreed, and made our video. Marino says: Hi, my name is Marino Miranda. I was born in Mexico City the 29th of January , 1992, but I have lived in Xalapa for all my life, and I really love my city--is a place full of culture and beauty. I have been in many schools. Now I am studying in high school. I like spending time with my friends and going around the city. I especially enjoy music, reading and going to the beach. When I grow up, I want to study history and maybe live somewhere where I can enjoy nature. I heard about The MY HERO Film Festival from my English teacher Guillermo. He wanted all his students to participate in this project, me and my classmates thought it was a great idea. |
